There are discussions of family styles with active weavers today. The author shares her personal insight to the origins of both old and new designs. The illustrations are drawn largely from the famous and outstanding collection of southwestern weavings at the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology at the University of New Mexico where the author has been curator for many years.
